SkyWorks Announces Q2 2016 Activities
SkyWorks Holdings today announced transactions and activities performed during Q2 2016 for its Asset Management, Investment Banking & Management Consulting Groups.
Asset Management Group Activities
Asset Management Services, provided through SkyWorks Leasing, involved 20 aircraft in Q2 2016 and included the following:
On behalf of Finnair, SkyWorks arranged the sale of one A340-300 removed from service.
On behalf of a U.S. Investor, SkyWorks arranged the sale of two B737-700s on lease to United Airlines.
On behalf of SAS, SkyWorks arranged the sale of three MD90s to Delta Air Lines. These were the final deliveries originating from multiple sales transactions between SAS and Delta starting in 2010, all arranged by SkyWorks, encompassing eight MD90s, 23 MD80s, three B717s and 10 JT8D-217C engines.
On behalf of a U.S. Investor, SkyWorks sourced and arranged the acquisition of one A319 and two A320s on lease to Bangkok Airways. SkyWorks has been retained to manage the aircraft on behalf of the buyer.
On behalf of a U.S. Investor, SkyWorks arranged the sale of one B767-300ER to Colt Transportes Aereos, Brazil. The aircraft will be operated on ACMI lease for the Brazilian Air Force.
On behalf of a U.S. Investor, SkyWorks arranged the lease returns of four B737-400s from Alaska Airlines. Two of the aircraft were subsequently placed on lease to Safair, South Africa.
On behalf of a U.S. Investor, SkyWorks arranged the sale of one B737-700 and five B737-800 on lease to United Airlines.
SkyWorks has also recently been retained by Alaska Airlines to remarket two CRJ700 aircraft (s/n's 10205 and 10246) for immediate sale or lease. For information, please contact Johan Claesson firstname.lastname@example.org.
Investment Banking & Management Consulting Group Activities
Investment Banking and Management Consulting Services, provided through SkyWorks Capital, included the following:
SkyWorks was engaged to serve as an arranger/ advisor to Atlas Air in the financing of 20 767 freighter aircraft related to Atlas Air's contract with Amazon.
Together with InterVISTAS, SkyWorks was engaged to serve as an advisor to Fastjet in the ongoing review of its business plan. The project includes an evaluation of the economic performance (revenue and cost) of aircraft alternatives, including transition costs and tasks should a new type be inducted.
SkyWorks continued to serve as an arranger/ advisor to AeroMexico in the SLB and PDP financing of 10 737 MAX aircraft.
SkyWorks continued to serve as an arranger/ advisor to AeroMexico in the JOLCO financing of 787-9 aircraft.
SkyWorks continued to serve as an arranger/ advisor to Air Canada in the JOLCO financing of 787-9 aircraft.
SkyWorks continued to serve as an arranger/ advisor to Delta in the SLB of 17 narrowbody aircraft (a combination of A321s and 737-900ERs) and three A330s, all delivering in 2016. Some of the financings have already closed while others are in documentation.
SkyWorks continued to serve as an advisor to Fiji Airways in its evaluation of a potential narrowbody fleet upgrade from current NG aircraft to newer and possibly new engine technology aircraft; SkyWorks is also currently engaged to source five replacement narrowbody aircraft for Fiji.
SkyWorks continued to serve as an advisor to GOL in the out-of-court restructuring of its existing fleet-related lease obligations, as part of the company's overall restructuring process.
SkyWorks continued to serve as an advisor to the Unsecured Creditors' Committee in the Republic Airways Chapter 11 Bankruptcy restructuring, focusing on evaluating the go forward business plan (capacity purchase agreements, fleet, cost structure) and claims.
